The Library has many resources and activites for adult patrons. The Public Library is always looking for new ways to better serve you. All suggestions concerning adult programming and book and DVD selections are welcome. Please let us know how we can serve you better.
Adult Programs
Below are some of the upcoming events for adult library patrons. For more information about the book groups please click on the Adult Book Groups page. All programs can be found on the calendar page. All library programs are free and open to the public.
- Tuesday April 3rd at 6:00pm BTOP Computer Class: Computer Basics Level 3. This class is for people who already have basic knowledge of computers. Pre-register for this class by calling 234-4881.
- Thursday April 5th at 5:30pm Bird Next Necklace Craft. Come and learn how to make this spring time necklace. All materials provided. This program is for our adult patrons. Spaces are limited so pre-regristration is required. If you have a pair of needle nose pliers, please bring them.
- Thursday April 12th from 7:00am to 11:00am at the Middle School. The Harrison County Community Health Fair. Come for free tests and screenings. Stop by the library's table to register for a door prize!
- Monday April 23rd World Book Night.
- Tuesday April 24th at 6:00pm BTOP Computer Class: Basics 1 Session A. Pre-regristration is required and can be made by calling 234-4881.
- Thursday April 26th at 4:30pm Historical Book Group. The book for discussion will be In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson.
- Thursday April 26th at 6:00pm Women's Book Group. The book for discussion will be The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb by Melanie Benjamin. Refreshments will be served the night of discussion.
- Monday April 20th at 5:00pm Women's Health Seminar. The seminar will take place at the Cynthiana Christian Church. Tickets will be available starting March 19th at the Public Library.
- Tuesday May 1st at 6:00pm BTOP Computer Class: Computer Basics 1 Session B. Pre-regristration is required and can be made by calling 234-4881.
- Thursday May 3rd at 6:00pm Antique Appraisal by Mr. Robert Lake. Patrons will be able to bring in one item for a free appraisal.
- Thursday May 10th at 5:30pm Muffin tin Meals. Come and learn how to make a delicious meal that is perfectly portioned in your muffin tin from the appetizer to the dessert.
- Thursday May 24th at 6:00pm Women's Book Group. The book for discussion will be Alice I Have Been by Melanie Benjamin. Refreshments will be served the night of discussion.
