Library Closed For Staff Training

Fall Reading Challenge

It’s almost time for our Fall Reading Challenge, make plans to participate in our reading challenge.  There are two ways to sign up, you can either sign up on Beanstack or pick up a paper copy of the reading challenge.  The Fall Reading Challenge is for kids of all ages, teens, and adults.  Complete the challenge and you will be signed up to win awesome prizes.

Fall Photo Shoot
Oct 1 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Just drop in between 10-12 for our fall photo shoot. We will provide the fall background, lighting, and some props. You will need to bring a camera and your best smile! This will be set up in the community room, so stop by and take some awesome photos. If you have questions, please call the library at (859) 234-4881.

Business Center

Every Monday from 10:00-5:00 Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library’s Business Center is open in the community room.  What is the business center? The library is providing semi-private work spaces for individuals.   This space is for, but not limited to: Small Business Owners, Self-Employed, Job Seekers, Students, Entrepreneurs, and provides a space for online meetings and interviews.   We have Chrome Books and hot spots available for check out, as well as for you utilize while you are using the business center.   You can make copies, print using Printer On, and send faxes for FREE while you are using the business center.   If you have questions about the business center, please call the library at 234-4881.

Medicare & Senior Living Issues~Educational Seminar

Seniors and their families are being bombarded with tons of information from mail to television, radio and social media. How can a person sort through this massive amount of information? What has changed from last year? What will happen in 2023 and following years? Join Howard Fryman at the library for his annual educational seminar. Come and take advantage of his 16 years of experience with Medicare, Drug Plan, Long Term Care, Veteran’s Benefits. There will be light snacks and refreshments will be available.

Blood Drive

The Kentucky Blood Center will be at the library for a blood drive. Fall into giving and donate blood, every donation helps to save a life. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. You can call 800-775-2522 to schedule an appointment or go to kybloodcenter.org.
