Punk Rock Zine Making

Unleash your rebellious creativity with this punk rock zine making workshop. In this workshop, you’ll explore the raw, cut-and-paste aesthetic of punk zines while crafting a collection of zines to add to the library shelf! Registration is required in order to attend this TEEN program.

Build-A-Birdhouse Bash

K-5 kiddos come on down to the library to put together and paint your own birdhouse! Registration is required in order to attend this event.

Civics in Action

Take a step into the past and see how Kentucky has changed through the lens of the Old State Capitol. Engage in a hands-on activity and experience writing with a quill and ink. Take on the role of a historian and analyze artifacts from our collections. Families will collaboratively brainstorm and draft a bill proposal or a citizenship letter, all while considering ways to enhance their community. Registration is required in order to attend this event.

Teen Karaoke Night

Teens are welcome to come hang at the library and participate/watch karaoke! Registration is required in order to attend this event.

Miss September’s “A Canvas of Colors”

Join Miss September and friends in “A Canvas of Colors: A Rainbow of Feelings,” an enchanting and interactive show! This delightful performance uses magic, puppetry, and catchy music to help Pedro the Parrot understand and express his feelings, especially when jealousy takes hold. With the help of Sparkles, Pedro embarks on a colorful journey to explore how emotions connect to the colors of the rainbow. No registration is necessary in order to attend this event.

Grit & Grace Wildlife Show & Tell

K-5 kiddos will visit with and learn about animals that can be found in their own backyard: Harrison County!
